ABOUT Friends of The Jerusalem Academy of Music and DancE

We wish to make it absolutely clear that this committee of professionals is not a profit-making or non-profit organization. We are simply advocates and promoters of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD). Our sole mission is to educate potential donors, friends, and supporters about the extraordinary work JAMD is doing and to help strengthen its ability to thrive in challenging times.

Any funds generated as a result of our correspondence, website, or events flow directly and exclusively to JAMD. We do not act as intermediaries, nor do we retain, deduct, or collect any portion or percentage of contributions. There is no organizational bank account, no dues, no operational overhead, only a collective passion for JAMD’s mission. 

We are a committee of dedicated professionals who have come together voluntarily to support a cause we believe in deeply. What unites us is our shared conviction in the transformative power of the arts as a force for tolerance, coexistence, and human connection. Despite economic pressures, shifting social dynamics, and reduced government support, we stand with JAMD and the arts in Israel to ensure their vitality and continuation.

In short, we are not a formal organization, but rather a coalition of committed individuals lending our voices, energy, and networks to amplify the Academy’s mission. Our advocacy is a labor of love, and our reward is seeing JAMD’s students, drawn from diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, continue to create, perform, and inspire.
